Range of DIN rail enclosures expanded with a new panel version

The RAILTEC BP M22 is a versatile electronics enclosure designed for simple and quick mounting on EN 60715 TH35 DIN rails. It is ideally suited for measuring/control devices and is dimensioned according to industry standard sizes.

The RAILTEC BP M22 is available in three different side panel configurations: closed, with ventilation slots on one side, and with ventilation slots on both sides for increased heat dissipation. The panel version provides simple and flexible installation of the electronics as well as efficient, screwless case assembly.

An optional transparent hinged cover (accessory) is also available. This protects the front panel and the integrated control/display elements, interfaces, etc. while ensuring a clear view. The hinged cover can be swiveled up or down.

Partially backlit enclosure surfaces for sophisticated design options

OKW's service portfolio now includes an intriguing design option for enclosures in light base colours, such as off-white or traffic white, suitable for applications requiring visual emphasis or reduced display.

By incorporating a specific grid pattern or individualized backlit elements (e.g., on/off status), the wall thickness of the plastic components can be internally reduced to such an extent that the light from LEDs positioned behind them shines through.

This technique enables the display of figures and letters, such as temperature readings or individual status indicators, in a visually appealing and high-quality manner. Key advantages include: the respective surfaces are not completely opened, preserving the IP protection class; no external alterations to the enclosure are visible when switched off and special light guides are not required.

New OKW Equipment Unveiled at BG Buchen 1980 e.V. Carnival Tournament

On 8 February 2025, the Chess Club BG Buchen 1980 e.V. hosted its inaugural carnival tournament, drawing an impressive number of participants. Competitors vied for a variety of unique prizes in a relaxed, festive atmosphere. Due to the unexpectedly high turnout, not all interested participants could play, but they enjoyed watching the thrilling matches. Christoph Schneider, Managing Director of OKW, expressed his delight and surprise at the strong response to the event. The occasion also marked the presentation of new jerseys to the team, sponsored by OKW for the fourth consecutive time. OKW extends its best wishes to the Schachclub BG Buchen (BG Buchen Chess Club) for continued success and strategically astute moves in the future.

Practical Press Stud Fastening for Mobile Applications

For applications requiring secure fastening, such as walking, but also needing quick removal, press stud fastening is highly advantageous.

Upon request, we can machine enclosures to accommodate press studs (male or female), allowing them to be inserted or pressed in. This is particularly recommended for OKW small enclosures, such as BODY-CASE, MINITEC, CONNECT, SOFT-CASE (photo), and MINI-DATA-BOX.

Possible uses include biofeedback, measurement and recording of training/performance data or vital functions, wearables, and much more.

OKW is environment-friendly - additional PV system

OKW is environment-friendly

From 3rd February 2025, the PV system on our new logistics centre will finally be in operation.
With an output of 334 kWp, it will generate over 300,000 kilowatt-hours per year in a best-case scenario, covering a large portion of OKW's energy needs. Together with the office building's existing PV system, we will thus reduce our energy costs in the long run and minimise our dependence on conventional energy sources.
