OKW’s new COMMUNITEC enclosure series provides a contemporary, high-capacity solution for large and heavy-duty electronic installations. With an ergonomically inclined operating surface of 12°, the table-top enclosure is ideal for displays from 11,5" to 14". An integrated handle facilitates transport – particularly practical for mobile applications in medical technology, such as patient monitoring, ventilation or neuromonitoring devices. COMMUNITEC also has a wide range of applications in aesthetic medicine as well as in laboratory, environmental and automation technology.

Available in two sizes – ‘S’ (283 × 246 × 194 mm) and ‘M’ (344 × 274 × 219 mm) – the enclosure offers plenty of space for large components. The inclined front panel ensures optimal readability from multiple viewing angles while providing effective protection for membrane keyboards. The flat surface underneath is suitable for control elements or printing. There is a recessed area on the rear to protect connections.

The enclosure consists of four individual parts made of UV-resistant ASA+PC-FR material – lightly textured and easy to clean – and is available in traffic white (RAL 9016) or anthracite grey (RAL 7016). The ‘recessed handle cover’ is also available in traffic grey A (RAL 7042). Individual parts are ordered separately and can therefore be colour-coordinatedService-friendly assembly is achieved using stainless steel Torx screws positioned at the rear and interior, maintaining the clean, uninterrupted design of the front panel.

Various mounting options are available for installing large-volume components. The base plate can also be pre-assembled outside the enclosure. Further assembly steps can be carried out via the handle opening or the front. Rubber feet ensure a secure footing. Individual modifications in OKW's in-house service centre turn the standard enclosure into a customised product. Whether mechanical processing, EMC protection, various printing processes, laser marking and much more – there are many options available to create your customised enclosure.
